We offer sweet and savoury baking including cakes, biscuits, bread, pies, pasties, flans, charcuterie and ready meals. We have a wide selection of chutneys, jams, marmalades, honey and free range eggs. All of these are produced by local people who love cooking and producing good quality food.

Demand for homemade food has grown enormously in response to the increasing interest in real food, made by real people in real places. Members preserve, bake and make products in their own home kitchens to sell within their local communities. Our cooks love experimenting with new and unusual recipes, for example a green tomato cake proved very popular! We have recently been joined by a new member offering home smoked meat, fish and cheese.

If you have any allergy or food intolerance requirements our team of bakers will be happy to take orders to suit your dietary needs - we like a new challenge so come and have a chat!

Trading legislation is complex but Country Markets Ltd strives to ensure that members are kept informed of the latest requirements and interpretations. The rules are there for everyone's protection. By following the rules, members can be confident that all possible steps have been taken to ensure that produce is of a very high standard, is safe for the consumer and complies with the law.

All food handlers, and Country Markets members are no exception, are required by law to undertake relevant food hygiene training. For Country Markets cooks the required qualification is currently the Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering and they are required to keep up to date with any new developments in food hygiene and practises.
